Growing up I wanted to be Peter Pan, a boy that never wanted to grow up. The boy that battled pirates and beat them back like the sorry fools they are, is something that I still think about. If we had an alternate reality that we could live in, that would be a compelling choice.

Now that I am a father and that boy has left (only partially) long ago, I have seen shows like Once Upon a Time develop creative interpretations on good ol’ Peter, turning him into a villain of sorts. While it was somewhat entertaining, I cannot help but to think this tarnishes the hero that is Peter Pan. For those of us that love the original Peter Pan movie, I wanted to pay tribute to the movie, while keeping with the Tsum Tsum theme, so I decided to make Tinkerbell.

Tinkerbell is Peter’s sidekick, a co-pilot for his adventures. In fact, the reason Tinkerbell was jealous of Wendy was because she thought Wendy was going to cause a divide between Tinkerbell and Peter. Maybe if Peter had Wendy, Tinkerbell would not go on any more adventures with him. But we all know, that is probably Tinkerbell’s big emotions compensating for her tiny frame. It’s a wonder how Tinkerbell does keep such a tiny frame when her “well-rounded” diet includes plenty of candy, tea, and pumpkin muffins (which are delicious, by the way).

Tinkerbell, being a movie star in her own right with movies like: Tinkerbell, The Great Fairy Rescue, and The Pirate Fairy, has also made cameos in other movies. In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, she helps Porky Pig close the movie with pixie dust. Her silhouette is also visible at the end of The Lion King 1 1/2. Most recently, she appeared with Tom Hanks in Saving Mr. Banks as a tribute to Walt Disney’s television show, the Wonderful World of Walt Disney.

Tinkerbell Tsum TsumMy kids got me hooked on the Disney Tsum Tsum game by Line. It’s available on both Android and IOS and it’s a simple, connect the character type of game, but you can earn coins and buy your favorite Tsum Tsums to play with. Each of the Tsum Tsums in the game have a special skill they can use to help clear Tsum Tsums. Tinkerbell, in particular, can allow you to clear a horizontal line of Tsum Tsums. Tinkerbell’s special skill can be activated by connecting 14 Tinkerbell Tsums. You can find Tinkerbell in the Premium box in the store.
